February Movie Club !
In celebration of Black History Month in the US, Cafe Empathy is showcasing two movies covering related issues. First, on February 12th is the acclaimed movie, Boyz N the Hood, featuring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ice Cube who portray the struggle of young Black Americans in South Central Los Angeles. Then on February 26th is Driving Miss Daisy, which follows the development of an interracial employer-employee relationship which improves over a period of tumult in America.

Dr. LEE HYUN-SEOK speaks on his recently released book, a "A Traveler's Notes on the Humanities," in which he shares thoughts and friendships made from Spain to India to China. This book was recently awarded a prize by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea.
Dr. Lee will be joined by the local indie band, "오늘도 무사히" which roughly translates into "No accident today" or "Pass the day safely without accident."

Deputy Director of the Video Contents Departmet of tbsTV, PAEK NAM-WOO speaks on his award winning documentary, "서울, 시간을 품다," roughly translated into "Seoul, Embracing Time." Awarded by the Media and Future Institute, this documentary series examines the living histories of various locations in Seoul. Come enjoy a discussion about documentary film-making and Korea's modern history. Location
